Unije Island is the largest island of the Lošinj archipelago, located northwest of the coast of the island of Lošinj. The island was inhabited in ancient times, when the Romans cultivated their olive groves there. From that and earlier periods, remains of castles, wells, country houses, and the remains of a Roman road are visible.
