Rarely is a region as rich in cultural and historical monuments as Kanfanarština. Perhaps the most important archaeological site is the cave of St. Romualda, the place where the remains of homo sapiens fossilis, a paleolithic hunter, and remains belonging to Neanderthals were found. Among the numerous castles, Karaštak, Škrbuštak, Morozolu, Sv. Martin, the castle of St. Jakov and many others, and the Bronze Age tumulus Maklavun occupies a special place among prehistoric sites.
Although it is possible to find a handful of important historical sites in this area, the central place is occupied by the remains of the medieval Dvigrad, which gladly welcomes its visitors and takes them back to the time of the 17th century. The creation of the locality was favored by the immediate proximity of Limska Draga, one of the most important medieval roads in Istria.
The abundance of domestic products, delicious cuisine with several highly ranked restaurants and family taverns represents one of the most important gastronomic locations in Istria. Every year, an increasing number of tourists choose the Kanfanar area as an ideal place for their vacation and pleasure.
An older Istrian house is located right here, which is ready for renovation. It has great potential considering that it is located in the center of the village itself. Along with the house, the owners are also selling additional parceled urbanized land of a total of 739 m2.
