Hum is a village in central Istria, known as the smallest town in the world with only 30 inhabitants.
According to legend, it was created when giants built cities on hills in the valley of the Mirna River, such as Motovun, Roč, Bale, and from the remaining stones, they eventually built Hum.
In addition to being known as the smallest city in the world, it is also known as the town of biska, a brandy with mistletoe, whose recipe supposedly originates from Hum.
That is why every year, at the end of October, the Festival of Brandy is held in Hum.
