Baška area in the southeast of the island is exceptional in some of its aspects.
When we climb uphill from Puntarska draga and go to about 330 m over the slopes of Treskavac, with the highest peaks of the island (Obzova, about 570 m) and we suddenly find ourselves in front of the Baška basin, we remain surprised, almost out of breath.
Because we were not prepared for such a game of nature, a combination of mountains and sea.
Like other places in Krk, in the old part of this place are narrow streets, houses close to each other so that the atmosphere is typical Mediterranean.
Apart from the beautiful beach, Baška is interesting for its characteristic architecture, numerous cultural and historical monuments and for the surrounding hiking trails.
The long and beautiful Baška beach, equipped with numerous opportunities for entertainment, is one of the most important reasons to come; the beauty of the place through which you will walk as if you were reading a textbook of coastal architecture, too.
In Baška, as in the place «at the end of the world» opportunities for boat trips to other islands (uninhabited Prvić, nearby Gregory and Goli, and to the nearby mainland (Senj).
You will be able to explore the hilly hinterland of Baška by walking the well-maintained hiking trails, while the braver will try the climbing area near Baška.
