Petar in the Forest is the most unusual Istrian settlement.
Unlike other Istrian towns and cities where the settlement is formed on a hill with a church and a bell tower, and along the edges of the hill are the houses, in St. Peter in the Forest the house was neither around the church nor around the monastery, but residents lived further away, in scattered villages located along the fields and vineyards.
